Why Do So Many People here feel the need to follow a Handicapper?
what happened to knowing the sports, evaluating teams, matchups and statistics to determine winners?

why do so many of you guys feel the need to use somebody's elses word?

seriously, it's the equivalent of using some celebrities' workout routine instead of finding your own way/methods of success

I win my own money, lose my own money. That's what it's about. If someone wants to discuss stats/trends with me and we both end up liking the same play then sure, but **** blindly tailing. Despite what half of this forum says, "cappers" who blind tail for the majority of their plays are losers in every sense of the word. Go play the lotto.

Because it's quick and easy and making your own decisions is hard work. Additionally, if you lose you don't have to blame yourself.

you shouldn't bet a play or not bet a play strictly b/c of what people post. In the end, the forum is good to shoot ideas back and forth and see who the public is on.

But again, in the end, you make the bets not anyone else

I agree with the others for the most part although there is nothing wrong with following the hot hand. I hate to even post this as some (rightfully so) will think I'm exaggerating or full of shit but followed Fishhead one year at MW and he went something like 31-2 in college football. As hard as that is to believe it's true, it was real close to that if not right on the money. Anyway when I have a hot hand from someone I trust and/or super busy at work and other things I will occasionally follow others but for the most part I prefer to do my own work, I model my way to consistantly losing in the major sports.

Why do people take their cars to garages to have the oil changed? What happened to knowing a little about a car & rolling up your sleeves & getting a little dirty. Its really easy, only takes 10-15 minutes and a couple common tools.

                  same fukin thing dude!!!!

Harder to stop tailing than to stop making you own bets. That is why tailing will bury you more than burying your self.

I'm having trouble finding a normal job; I'm not going to put in a ton of time into handicapping to find out IF I can win consistently. Finding trust-worthy and credible handicappers to tail is more prudent in my situation. If and when I'm wealthy, things could be different.

More like listening to someone who knows more than you.

Time is limited. Why spend it doing the same work that somebody better than yourself has already done?

i think part of handicapping is knowing what sharp players are on, and if that means
tailing their picks then tail away.

                            Why is that Lazy?

No one should complain if you don't have enough desire to put in the work. When you blindly follow people and you don't have a clue what does into their picks, that's ridiculous.

It's more like why people buy a car instead of making their own.....Too much damn work and your not even going to get it right.
