maybe it's becaue I started this year, but its been damn near impossible for me to predict anything in the NFL

Unexpected outcomes happen in ALL sports. If they didn't not only would the game be boring, but the lines would always be perfect and there would be no chance to make a profit betting them. The key to making money isn't perfectly predicting the future, it is making a more accurate prediction than the book.

Example: the result of a single flip of the coin is completely unpredictable, but that has no bearing on whether heads +110 is a good bet.

NFL is just a game of matchups. You need to understand what the teams will be able to do, and what they'll attempt to do. Then you need to figure out if they'll be able to successfully do those things. There is a lot of nuance to betting NFL as well, like realizing that division games are always going to be played differently.

Relevant bump. And capping the NFL isn't that difficult, you just need to know which matchups to stay away from. Although, college football is by far easier in my book b/c there are teams that are just vastly better than others and picking those matchups is easier (which is why I stay the hell away from huge game matchups like LSU/Bama).

I think soccer is the best sport to bet on, especially on English league (Premier league), fading Chelsea, tail Manchester United spread + M. U moneyline, Europa champion league and Champion league ....they are real $$$.

I have to admit, NFL system went all wrong this year, be cautious to your bets.

Good theory but "we" do not have the resources to do that on a consistent basis .... There are way too many intangibles.

The KEY is siding with the book when they create/allow lopsided action on a game ....

brahm i 100% agree....college his mismatches all over the place ect....in pro there are new hero's every week as theyr are all top athletes.....NFL betting relies so much on turnovers ect.....college football is much much easier for me to predict...............NFL is wild!! im done losing college profit on sundays.........plus all the games go off at the same time so its hader to manage your $$$.......**** NFL BETTING!!!!!!!!!!!

Teasers in the NFL can be pretty awesome if you do it right



lots of teams play close games all the time (Jaguars, Browns) and lots of teams always win in certain situations (Atlanta is automatic against bad teams)

College football is my favorite, college basketball second favorite , and then NFL football is 3rd.


All professional sports are unpredictable though. MLB, NHL, NFL , NBA upsets all the time. I guess same can be said for college sports but I feel like upsets happen at a higher rate in professional sports because the teams are more evenly matched.
