OT: survey question for non-pros like me
alright, just skip this thread if you're a diciplined capper. but for all you newbies out there like me, i got a curious question.

how do you feel at each stage of your bankroll cycle?

this is how i feel everytime
    1) re-up:
dissappointed that i lost my entire bankroll...feel like shit, wanna to kill myself. then it is followed by resurge of optimism...have a feeling this is the run that'll make me a millionaire. finally, watching the new balance hit my book, i feel pumped

    2) first couple dozen bets:
for some reason, i always start the new bankroll in black. feeling pretty damn good at this point...wondering how i lost my previous bankroll in the first place. telling to myself, not going to make the same mistake again.

    3) big wins:
always have one or two of these, feel like the king of the world. start buying expensive gifts to your gf or friends and start bragging about how well you're doing. they all seem very impressed.

    4) slump:
scratching my head, what the hell is going on. why is picking games so hard...maybe i should fade myself.

    5) tilt:
when this happens, you know you got your ass handed to you. could be a blow out or a tight loss...either way, your bankroll is gone.

    and the cycle repeats.

I have not went through that exact cycle but have felt like fading myself...especially during about the last 2 weeks

I have thought it, but if you actually fade yourself then you will never break the slump if you don't have enough confidence in yourself.

This is the story of all our lives....when you hit the slump...walk away or lower your bets until they pick up.....That is the way that I work through a slump...

I have had the big wins..........and I have also lost big.....I really into poker and the rush playing there is much higher for me than in sports so I experience it more at the table...but I get it, that is why there are so many guys that loose everything......you have to be somewhat disciplined or you dont need to do it, make sure the computer is as far away from you when you get the bottle in your hand that is usually what costs me the most.....
