Smoked a good Portland team, they look prime for the finals. 72 is a stretch and unrealistic though

possibly vs nuggets on road, at home vs suns and thats if
maybe on road vs bucks...

lakers could begin this season as 18-2

very unrealistic with teams like boston, miami, and orlando. Some teams like Chicago once Boozer is back can beat em too. Don't get me wrong, I think the Lakers are the best team in the NBA but there are too many good teams right now for them to only lose 10x

It would come down to how much they wanted to do it, when they start resting gasol more, it could be tough, depending on the development of caracter. and the return of bynum.. This team is better than last year, and maybe phil and kobe want to put the Heat stories to bed.

No, they will definitely not beat 72-10. And don't even try to compare Kobe to MJ, it's not even close.
I do think they will 3-peat. This talk of beating 72-10 happens every year. Recently both Boston and Cleveland startd out really good an everyone was saying 72-10 would be beaten. Talk to me when someone is 60-6.

you say the lakers will 3 peat then you say bryant is not close to jordan. Jordan never beat a team like the 2010 celtics. never. jordan never even faced a team 1/2 as good as the miami heat. you are living in Fantasy world buddy. if bryant wins this year he is clearly the best ever. 3 peating in todays league is way harder than it was during the jordan reign its not even close

Not gonna happen. They rest players and don't care about the regular season.

They look good now, but as the season goes along, injuries set in as well as losing streaks. But damn they look good now.

I hope Kobe keeps breaking records this year too, and with a little help from Lamar and Pau they surely can reach the final; they must take advantage now, Wade and James might start playing as team-mates later this year for Miami and then they will be serious candidates for L.A.

They look better this year than last. So that says something. But I think they will break dowm mid season. They are to old not to. Kobe and Pau will miss games. They lose 15-20 in my mind.

No they won't but the 90's bulls team is overrated anyway. The league just sucked and was full of bad/expansion teams.

LOL. The 72 win Bulls would beat all of Kobe's last two teams in the Finals. The Lakers lead by Shaq though would give them a challenge but I still think the Bulls win. The Kings should had knock the Lakers off their 3 peat if it weren't for them cheating referree.

Even if what you say is true..and i'm not willing to concede that.... One player does not comprise a team. Enough said.

i am going to agree with you so if this happens i can say i was on board 7 games into the season
and before the season i said i like boston, orlando, miami, chicago, portland, okc, lakers, and spurs to win the championship so if i could say i called it too. and dallas too.
edit: i picked denver also.

they'd still be undefeated if Phil would just do the right thing and bench kobe the guy is just awful and absolutely killed them down the stretch Lakers win going away last night if it weren't for kobe stinking it up as usual

Good team but I don't see them getting past 60 wins.
They need to be ready for the playoffs rather than worry
about the regular season records.
