I think everyone just has a different opinion of "best". Look at Brady/Manning. Before this year, Manning had the stats and Brady had the rings. How do you decide the best? It's a matter of opinion. Anyone who is considered the best by some with be over rated by others.

i think you can be the best at the moment but itll always be looked at as overrated in the future b/c of the whole "newer, faster, stronger" athletes...

Sure, the '05-'06 Detroit Pistons, best team in the regular season, were 38-42-2 ATS.

And I'm not going to go look for it, but there probably have been a few times when the Yankees were the best in baseball and also overrated.

I have to say it is easy to be the best and be overatted.....the new england example is one of the best you will find and I have to agree there have been plenty of overrated yankee teams that were the best...

Overrating comes from how much the media and the public fall in love with the league's best teams. They build a team up to be unbeatable; this is an overrating, as no team is truly unbeatable.

I also believe, however, that the word overrated is used far far far too often.
