OT: called a wrong number

i know this has jack crap to do with sports, but i am so ticked off right now. i looked up a number in the phone book for this mom-n-pop auto repair shop by my house, i didn't write the number down, i just tried to remember it, well i got sidetracked for a few minutes, anyway i go to call what i thought was the number and this little kid about 4-5 years old answers, immediately i assumed i called the wrong number, but it is a mom-n-pop shop, so i thought maybe they had their kid there, so i ask the kid if i can speak to their mom or dad, the little kid is just babbling on, finally some woman picks the phone up, she asks who is this, i say i must of called a wrong number, i was trying to call Chuck's automotive, the lady starts asking how i got her number, i say "i must have dialed the wrong number.", she starts telling me i can't have her number its unlisted, and is demanding to know who i am and how i got her number, i just say "look lady i dialed the wrong number!" and i hung up.
she calls me back, starts saying again "i want to know how you got my number" and "this is a private number", i say "look lady, you can have a private or unlisted number and people can still dial a WRONG number and call you." well obliviously she doesn't get it, she says "well i got your number" and "i'm calling the police to find out who you are and why you are calling me." OK now i'm pissed, i said "F*#Kin' CALL THEM! and i hung up the phone. now i'm sitting here thinking i'm going to get a call from the police or worse they're going to show up here at my apartment for calling a wrong f*#king number.
i'm hoping if she does call the police, they can explain to this psycho that you CAN have an UNLISTED number, but people can still dial a WRONG number and call you.
man i'm so pissed off right now.

Dude has happend to the best of us, what the hell do people think, has she never dialed a wrong number, if the cops do show up for a wrong number you need to move...If the cops are going to worry about something so stupid then I would not feel safe. I would keep the number and everytime Im by a pay phone chuck a quarter in and call it again and annoy the shit out of her.

LK ... Im in sales ... and yes I deal with this type of ppl ALL DAY ... all I do is laugh and tell them I thought it was a friends number and hung up ... do that my number cannot be seen through Caller ID I still havent had the chance of someone calling me back .

Dont get pissed about it ... just imagine that the lady is ugly/hasnt been laid in over a year/weighs similar to Shamu and was just trying to get into a fight cause she just found out his husband was banging the neighbor ... and the neighbor is a 22 yr old male. LOL

I almost fought a bitch once when she kept calling me. I think she was trying to call her BF or something and thought it was a chick answering HIS phone. She started screaming at me as soon as I picked up...so I hung up on her. I was HOPING she'd dial the right number next...no such luck. By the thrid time she called back threatening me, I was REALLY pissed. I screamed my address at her and told her to come and get me. Then I added: "I am telling you I have no idea who Lamar is...and you are calling MY phone! If you don't cut the shit I will find him and **** him just to spite you!"

She never showed up or called back. I guess she figured it out. I doubt she was scared. She sounded like she could kick my ass.

I mean, obviously this chick isn't the brightest bulb on the tree and she thinks having an unlisted number is a life saver. I just know that my sister had an unlisted number to hide from one of her exes and she would get nervous when someone called that she didn't give it to. That being said, my sister is smart enough to know that a wrong number is just that.

I called a number one day and asked for friend I was trying to get in touch with, they told me I had the wrong number so I hung up. I thought maybe I dialed wrong so I tried again. They got so pissed off at me for calling twice, they told me to go **** myself and we just cursed each other back and forth for about 10 mins. It was funny. Sometimes dialing a wrong number can be interesting. Anyone ever dial a wrong number and get a chick on the line and get to talking to them and end up hooking up with them? Im sure thats happened.

I chatted with a guy that mixed up the area codes. Apparently, he was from my area, so when he dialed on client that had a similar area code, he kept messing up and dialing mine. It got to the point that I knew his name and remembered the number and would pick up and say: "Hey Chris, it's me again. How's things this week?" He was actually really nice, but we never talked about hooking up. I think he was old enough to be my dad.

i'm still here, i never heard from the cops thankfully, hopefully if that lady did call them they talked some sense into her.

and i don't know the exact number i called because i dialed the wrong number, and even if i did remember it i sure as hell wouldn't post it on here, that would just give that paranoid psycho woman even more reason to have the cops mess with me, and i'm not a big fan of the police, i admit that chick really rattled my brain yesterday, she had me all paranoid for a while.
