Hell, I was a Division III track runner (no athletic scholarships in DIII), and I am not 100% sure a kind gesture by my head coach to help finance a Spring Break track trip I was too poor to go on was 100% cool with NCAA regs.

My point in bringing this up: quite of few of the athletes get things done to help them. Most don't get caught.
