Galimberti found guilty of betting on tennis, suspended for 100 days

    February 18, 2008
LONDON (AP) -- Italian player Giorgio Galimberti has been found guilty of betting on tennis and has been suspended for 100 days and fined $35,000.

The ATP says Galimberti bet on tennis during a period dating from June 2003 to January 2006.

The governing body of men's tennis began its investigation in August 2007, and the findings were presented to an independent anti-corruption hearing officer.

I hope he made some good money on the betting because he`d have problems earning enough money off tennis to pay that fine.

Did any books even have lines up for this guy?

He probably only played in the worst of the worst challenger tournaments.
