    A "walkover" is when one player, for whatever reason withdrawals from the contest BEFORE it even starts. Books grade this as "no action" and bets are refunded. If a player withdrawals, for whatever reason, AFTER match has begun, than this is "retired". Generally most books require match to go atleast 1st set for it to be considered "action" if someone retires.
