UK played NOBODY all year. Tennessee was all they played and they did go 2-1 against them, but Tenny was NEVER an elite team last year. The FIRST real opponent UK faced, they FOLDED. They had no clue what to do and responded by taking WAY too many jump shots. Bob Huggins THOUROUGHLY embarassed Cal in that game. Who cares the shooting numbers, WVU didn't care how many open looks UK got, they knew how terrible UK was at shooting the basketball.

Freshman point guards don't win NCAA Tournaments. And with the college 3 pt-line, any team in the tournament can have a bad shooting night and be sent packing. Cal may be alot of things, dirtbad included. But he is still a good coach. He is also one of the few coaches out there that actually "coaches" his star players, and doesn't kiss their asses and walk around afraid to hurt their feelings.
