Android Users - Betting Tools for your Phone!
    Hello SBR forum posters,

You can download an app for your android mobile phone that helps with several gambling related tasks. There are 4 functions currently available:

    - odds conversion (US odds to implied probability)
    - Fair Odds calculator (aka no-vig calculator)
    - Arbitrage calculator
    - Parlay Calculator (2-legs only)

I often use fair odds or arbitrage calculator for understanding the implied vigorish on a bet. For example, using the fair odds calculator, enter -200/+170, a common moneyline set, and it tells you that the fair odds are +189, and the implied vigorish is -3.8%.

It is often nice to do quick calcs like this when you are away from home, on the go, in the bar, or in the sports book.

Currently only US odds are supported. I will implement decimal support or more tools upon request! (eg Freeplay calculator, >2 parlay legs)

The app is straightforward and simple, don't have time to "make it pretty".

Best of all --- it is FREE

Just search the android marketplace for "Betting Tools" and you will see an app published by PepperTom.

Or scan this QR code with your phone directly:

    Enjoy!

Unfortunately no. Apple charges $100/year for developers to write code for iPhone.

If SBR forum pays the development fee for me, I will do it.

It is brand new to the android market. I tried to release it exclusively to SBR forum, but an exclusive release is a complicated process for android, so I decided to just make it free to the world.

I'm interested to hear suggestions for new features. I've already gotten several comments to create a live line feed from Pinnacle. If this app is received well, I will consider things such as that.

Put it on Cydia and all jailbroken Iphones could use it. Sounds like an app I would pay for, but I would need to see what it looked like and how it worked.

I am sure SBR reviews will be out soon.

I'm not sure I understand your comment. Are you saying these sites convert odds for you so this tool doesn't have a purpose?

                    1) It does more than convert odds between formats. It also calculates no-vig lines, optimum arbitrage, theoretical hold, 2 team parlays...

                    2) This tool runs local on your droid, so you don't need to load a bulky website. I just looked at canbet on my Droid and it didn't load very fast and sure doesn't look pretty.

I'm needing the Half Kelly Calculator. Now that would put me completely mobile. Thanks for any help.

That would be great man. BTW, I play multiple games. The one they have on here works good but to have it in a simpler form on my phone would be a great addition. I'll be glad to send a nice point package to ya but don't kill yourself doing it though.

so going to one of these sites is quicker than just opening an app? You do know what an app is right?
