Most of us are sport fanatics. I watch mainly the NFL and some NBA. Some baseball as well but not so much. The one thing that i don't like about sports is how when some team wins the championship and gets all happy celebrating, then they have an interview with those team players about it and they ask them if they can repeat the title again. I'm not sure if i'm phrasing this right but really does that matter? You win the nba, mlb or nfl championship and then commentators will speculate like where would these 2 players be next year and if they would sign with the team or not. It's like a neverending soap opera because after you "did it" by winning the championship, it never ends because theres more speculations. I mean when kobe won his 4th ring and was asked how many more titles would he like to have etc, does that really matter? I mean if a team wins 5 titles in a row, i know they are excited and jumping in the air but really thats just another championship and nothing new. If its a bottom feeding team and some players been there for 10 plus years without a title, then i understand.
But does anyone else feel a bit empty after they watch a championship game at the end? Whether the game was really boring or really good, at the end i go, so thats it huh...? Then on forums people write things like trade speculations and how so and so team won't even make the playoffs next year. I mean who cares??? Why are people thinking about next season at all? I been to some ball games before but it was a regular season game and fans were pretty nuts. This was at a yankees game few years ago. I only watch sports on TV now. But to those fans who watch games and championships at the stadium, don't you guys feel a bit different? Because the majority of us have the best view on our television and there are commentators talking every single second. Does it feel much much different when your at the game? I mean i thought about this a few years ago that when you go to an actual event, all you see are people running etc. You never hear people say a word besides the usual one or 2 words. Like when you see the lakers play the celtics at the staples center, you are probably not giving to hear a single word. Just people running, passing and shooting the ball with no commentator like one is use to on television. But do you guys who go to nfl, nba and mlb games actually enjoy watching a game more than watching it on TV where you have the best view and have a commentator? How would you guys feel if you watch an nba game and there was no play by play announcer? Would you prefer that?
And the most annoying thing in sports when i hear fans say "We did it". I get annoyed the most when players say we did it and we couldn't have done it without the fans here tonight. I mean are you serious? Fans have nothing to do with it. They just pay your million dollar contracts. Would you play much better or worst if not that many people were filling up the seats? Probably a little bit but you would still probably perform the same otherwise you would get cut from the team. Most fans who are in attendance with the best seats to watch those championship games are usually rich people anyways. The real fans generally don't even get good seats because they cost so much.
Many years ago, i would get so excited when my team won, the New York Knicks, yankees and giants. Now, i don't even care anymore. I mean who cares if they win the championship or not. Is it going to even affect me at all? Back then i would feel bad if my team lost but now i'm just thinking that has nothing to do with me. I'm not their manager or whatnot. Only thing i care about them is if i'm betting on them to win or lose etc nowadays.
I don't watch sports that much anymore. Maybe just the championship but some regular season games. I honestly right now think watching sports is a waste of time unless you have some money on it or just have nothing to do for the evening. And do you guys say those commercials with those NFL fans really depict NFL fans? Like they have a Green Bay packer logo around their house etc. I feel like they are overhyping and making the NFL more than it is really.
