Anyone know of or heard of any decent inpatient Substance Abuse/Drug Rehab facilities? I'm trying to find a place for someone in my family and it's hard as hell to find a decent place that doesn't cost a completely ridiculous amount of money. He has a problem with opiates and pain medication in general, and needs at least a 30-day program, I think. Preferably, anywhere in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, or even North Carolina would be best. Thanks.

#2Colonial House in York PA but to detox he will have to go to Bowling Green In Southern Chester County first
You have to call your local county and go from there
but I knew people from all those states who got in to colonial house for free
They get the county to pick up the tab
do a search and call talk to Rich or Ernie
It's not bad and the food is decent
you can also look at Eagleville(Eagleville PA) but again you have to start at the county level and claim poor
Homeless poor...they never check
EDIT
HOPE HOUSE in Crownsville Maryland
Takes everyone
It's free but you have to wait

#11I kicked opiates with a 6 week outpatient program. Insurance pays for most of it. Try Carrier Clinic in New Jersey.Comment -

#12Tree,
First of all, I wish you and your family all the best during this difficult time. I hope all goes well.
You may want to check out The Greenbriar Center. They have several locations throughout southwestern PA.
They offer inpatient programs as well as partial day and evening programs.

#13Make sure they actually want help. If they dont want it, no matter what you do will be a waste. I know of a few church programs that are long term. Dont know if your into that sort of thing? I have had many friends die from this affliction. You and your family are in my prayers.Comment -

#15Not to be mean, but if you plant some drugs on him, call the cops and get him arrested he will most likely have court ordered rehab for free and he might take it more seriousComment -

#16Very easy solution. You don't need to check in anywhere. Go get him on Suboxone. It is a life saving drug.המוסד

#17already tried that. He just uses is to ease the withdrawal when he can't get any oxys or other pain killers. It's actually made it easier on him to be a dope-head.Comment -

#20Don't know of any places, but a friend of mine's dad just got out of a rehab and relapsed. I think it's going to be important for you and your family to make sure he doesn't get into the same environment he's been in during addiction. Something as subtle as a picture on the wall can bring back a feeling.
Good Luck, Tree. I hope everything works out for you and your family.Comment -

#23I wish you and your family BOL and the same to him. Hopefully he really wants to kick the habit because in the end it's up to him. I went to detox myself over a month ago and was sober for a month but I was stubborn/cheap and didn't want to go to any rehab or anything like that and I gave in recently and I'm back to my old habits. He's lucky to have family that cares, hope it all works out for you guys.Comment -

#24Absent rehab, it would be much easier to quit if he replaces opiates with Cannabis. Cannabis is safe and many people have found it easier to kick dangerous drugs with the help of Cannabis. I don't mean this to be a joke, so please don't take it that way. If he is in one of the states where medical Cannabis is legal then he can probably get a doctors' recommendation. Best of luck to your family member.Comment -
