Video poker question/strategy

I in no way plan to want to master this game but i visited Reno for the weekend to party for my Bday. Im mainly a No limit cash game poker player and dont do much else of any gambling. While waiting for a 3/5 seat to open up i was pLaying some Deuces wild video poker,

Lets say i get a hand with a deuce with no open end or gut shot str8 or flush draws. Lets say A,10,7,5,2.

Am i better off keeping the 2, and drawing 4 cards hoping to get more 2's. or keeping the 2 with another card? i ask this because regardless of if i keep the Ace or not ill have a pair on the redraw.

The same question applies to having 2 deuces with no big draw?

If I remember correctly, I believe I read that you should always try to draw to hit your straights, flushes, and straight flushes on video poker. Because the odds you get hitting them. In that situation you posted, you're probably best off just keeping the wild(s) and see what you can hit. Unless you had a flush draw.

go to wizardofodds.com for perfect strategy on all games. there are +ev deuces wild games in vegas (reno too i imagine) but you need to play perfect and it takes a while to learn it 100%.

You just hold the deuce on that hand, UTEOT. The other cards are equally worthless. You don't get paid any more for 3 aces or 3 fives.
