IMO his questioning of the coaches 4th down call just before the half in his joke of a press conference is what got him released.
lack of effort was bad enough but then to question the coach and also in the same speech imply that no one listened to him about the game plan against the Pats. Childress had to send him a message or risk losing complete control of a 2-6 team

A lot of teams have to pass on him before he can go as a FA to the Pats. Personally............I think he is a spoiled, tempermental, lazy assahola.

WR is such an enigmatic position. Look at Cincy who is terrible after adding Owens. Look at the individual receiving leaders any given week and many of them come in losing efforts. The NFL is about teamwork and balance, if one WR puts up huge numbers it's more of a red flag that something's wrong with the team's balance than an indication of the particular player's talent. Longevity is the real measure of an NFL player's greatness, pure talent is chewed up and spit out on a weekly basis in the NFL.

As for Belichick bringing Moss back, I'll never say never, but it's unlikely - especially in the near future.

ESPN reported Brad Childress has "lost" his locker room.

I guarantee he won't be an NFL coach 1-2 yrs from now.

Bills get the first crack at Moss on waivers since they have the worst record.....Patriots are last in the waiver line coz they have the best record in NFL now. 30 teams ahead of patriots get a shot to pick up moss....no way all of those 30 teams pass up on moss.

Besides that, I dont think the patriots want moss and his drama back in new england. They are a better team now without moss..as in they distribute the ball more and run the ball more....they are a better overall team without moss. With moss, its just me, me, me all the time and offense becomes one-dimensional. I don't think patriots want moss back...no fuking way.

I could definitely see it happening. But he'll have to clear waivers first, and I'm pretty sure some team would grab him.

NE got rid of Moss once. Why take him back. Talent only goes so far, eventually you wear out your welcome.

He's got to pass by every team in the league...but then again who would want him other than the Rams? If he goes back that could be the biggest scam in the NFL with a 3rd and 5th rounder and 4 weeks later he's back in uniform. NFL would probably step in and do something about it.

if a team like the rams decides they want him does that mean he is forced to play there or not play at all?

yeh, but the Rams would have to take on his salary, so they would not claim him unless they were pretty sure he was going to play

He isn't doing everything by himself. And 2 the Pats defense in 2001 was far from great after 8 games. This defense is getting better by the week. McCourty and the secondary is settling down and the run defense has shutdown two of the best RB's in the past 3 weeks.

And their ST's might be the best in the league.

NE is a long shot. Moss is a draw, and he does mean a quick buck to someone right now....perhaps a stint in Dallas or Washington and a chance to shake things up....

Moss will be back in New England if he passes waiver, I guarantee you. Bellicheat always like the dude and is smart enough to get him back for only $450,000 for nine games. What there to lose really? You could just bench him at the very worst and lose nothing.

There's no way they bring him back to NE. Even if they wanted to, which they likely don't, someone will likely overlook his crybaby issues and pick him up off waivers. NE is last or near last on the waiver wire.

50k per game is cheap to get Moss back New England for the rest of season, without Moss, Brady got stack by opp D#.
