Source: Stackhouse can be in Kidd trade, but can't go back
    The NBA League has spoken:

The Jason Kidd to Dallas trade could be held up by Jerry Stackhouse's announcement that he would soon return for a Mavericks playoff run if traded to New Jersey.

The Nets buying out Stackhouse's contract is pretty dumb. Why not let him play the rest of the year for the Nets?

When I first heard this was possible, for the Mavs to trade him to the Nets who would immediately drop him and he'd rejoin the Mavs in 30 days, I thought no, that talking head read the worng teleprompter. There shouldn't be any way for a player to be traded from one team to another like that and then come back to his original team without another trade.

I never really liked Dallas much anyway, so I like this ruling.

Dallas isn't breaking any rules. This is just Stern's vendetta against Cuban.

Its just stupid to add something like this in the deal, figure out another way to get this done or dont do it at all, since this has all started the mavs have played like crap and probably wont get better until they figure it out.
