Proposition 19 anyone?

Hello.
Ive been lookin for this subject all over the forum. No luck so far. So Ill try to start this thread. And sorry for my grammar, but English is not my mother language.
And I dont think I need to explain what Proposition 19 means, I hope.
But its hard to believe that this forum, packed with smart, progressive folks, make no mention about this theme.
If you ask me, I wish Proposition 19 is approved. Unless someone explains to me why those deadly drugs, like alcohol and tobbaco, are legal, while cannabis, which is relatively safe, it´s the devil.
Besides, been a bit paranoidal, the guys who support cannabis prohibition, are against online betting in the United States, dont they?

Hhhmmm i wouldve thought big business wouldve been pushing to approve this bill...Think of the extra revenue it could bring in and at a time when that money could be needed. Additionally it can be a powerful tool of mind control for government over its population thus assisting to minimize the impact of any upcoming social instability over the slumping economy and growing tensions between cultures....GAF if its right or wrong, the age of moral reasoning when it comes to the mighty dollar died decades ago....Sad but true

Because while they where making sue that we did not get effected with refer madness 60 years ago an entire industry has sprung up around the growing,distribution and sale of marijuana
The Government knows it can not compete nor by making it legal will they be able to tax it effectively because said industry already exists
therfore it is better to keep the public uninformed and push lies than to face the facts that they can not get their greedy hands involved
