Just wasn't a smart play call Brian Kelly has to solely take the blame for that. No reason to put your true freshman quarterback in that position when your already in field goal range with one of the best kickers in the country. The guy had hit something like a school record 18 straight field-goals. DUMB!

Kelly said in the postgame he would call that play every time with one-on-one coverage on Floyd. He not taking the blame with a statement like that.

it might of been one on one coverage right off the ball, but that pass was a Brett Favre type throw, nothing good really could come out of it..
