Did anyone see the Hillary rant at a GM plant in Ohio today?
I just caught a moment of it but Hillary was playing like Hitler in a Munich beer hall ranting about how terrible GM was to the union workers ''never call them employees''and how they were being taken advantage of at a GM plant, I think???Am I right that it was right at a GM plant or was it a workers ''socialist'' union hall?If it was at a GM plant, I would have had the pants suited, candy apple headed, Hillary's pregnant papa sea monkey ass booted from the plant that she was a guest at if I were GM.

I actually owned GM cars down through the years and they were always ok cars although most people think a majority of their cars suck.I guess when your company becomes a health maintenance organization and an unrealistic pie in the sky pension dispensing broker for the workers that just so happens to make cars on the side, you aren't going to concern yourself or have the money to put into engineering and workmanship to make good cars that customers desire.GM and all the american car companies have become nothing more than social service agencies.

Remember when the $75 an hour with benefit car industry workers went out on strike in the last couple years where the workers were all crying as to how they would subsist on their meager savings the first 3 days of the 3 day strike.Talk about a motley crew that's not to be trusted with money management. Most of these guys that work in car plants barely finished high school and when they go back to their class reunions they gloat that they make more money than the doctors, lawyers, engineers and architects attending the reunion.

These workers are known to like their toys where they all drive hulking hemmies, have 3 snowmobiles,2 Harley's,a boat that can make it across Lake Michigan in 45 minutes. All this bad money management is never brought to light by your Hillary and Michael Moore types that just use their socialist rants blasting the auto companies to get the workers to vote for democrats.

I'm no big fan of the corporate world myself because they too have just become state run corporate welfare industries in bed with government and politicians. It's sort of like all companies and all protected union workers and government employees became lightning where they take the path of least resistence. It's up to all the other poor saps to have to make up the difference and pull the whole load and burden.

The whole country is,was and will be more of a huge Chrysler tax payer bailout.I want to see debtors prisons for bankers,Tony Soprano's,Savings and loans scammers, politicians, federal reserve members, medical industry entitlement abusers.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc.etc. etc.

If this bothers people, too bad.

Unions are killing US businesses. If you have to pay a high school graduate $40/hour because of a union (when $12 is fair), the business is doomed. You wonder why all manufacturing jobs with unions are leaving the US.

I don't mind a little socialism, but not at the cost of US competitiveness.

Completely agree. Unions are a thing of the past when America was a growing superpower. Any business that has union employees is at a competitive disadvantage.

It's OK. We don't need these big, bad corporations anyway unless they make granola snacks or hemp clothing.

When I'm elected president I will raise the minimum wage to $100 per hour and I'll tax everybody 93% to pay for "universal healthcare" that will be so corrupt and mismanaged that no illegal immigrants will even want to stay in the country.

It's funny how a guy working in a car factory will grasp at straws voting for Hillary thinking she's buy america, america first.Figure out how many tens of billions alone all the Bush's and Clinton's gave in tax payer dollars to prevent AIDS in Africa.I'm all for preventing AIDS but dumping money down a rat holes isn't going to solve anything.

Then Hillary belongs to the party that rebuilt Europe after WW2 on the US tax payer dime and FDR got cozy with USSR giving them country after country in eastern europe so the US tax payer had to spend trillions on the cold war, going to North Korea and going to Viet Nam.etc.

For a country over it's head in red ink like we are,we just gave another couple billion in tax payer dollars on the joint space station partnership with Russia to refurbish it.There is money well spent.

A few billion pissed away here,a few hundred billion pissed away there, and you wonder why it's hard to stay in business here.

I just bought two one way tickets to and from Vegas for $98 each way and with absolutely no add on's for any upgrades on the flight itself, the $98 ticket each way had 5 add on taxes that made it $139 each way.Talk about deceptive advertising by Allegiant Air but they don't get the extra $41,it goes to 5 branches of government. They even add a 9-11 homeland security fee.

Northwest Airlines was in trouble so the Minnesota tax payer bailed them out with welfare. Then they even built Northwest a maintenance base and ticket reservation headquarter building where I live.Northwest bought all Air Bus planes which is a partnership of European state run industry. They are subsidised by socialist countries to be in business. They never bought american made planes like Boeing or ** Donnel Douglass etc.All the democrats here that run everything brokered the whole deal. The steel workers union that's massive here didn't say a word about the state tax payer money helping Northwest buy foreign state run industry planes. Then to boot,a couple years later,Northwest went bankrupt and closed the maintenance base. The kicker is that when Northwest after bankruptcy tried staying in business cutting wages, the employees went on strike. The state tax payers kept Northwest in business enabling the employees to have a job for 10 years and they thought they were getting a raw deal. The tax payer got the raw deal and so did the common shareholders because Norhwest issued new stock after bankruptcy where the old shares were worthless. And this was all from created during the Bill and Hillary administration with their backing and blessings.

Once again, liberals have no chance. McCain will be president.

If you're tired of standing on your own two feet and want someone else to live your life for you, vote Democrat.

If you want to make your own mark in the world and have the courage to do so, vote Republican.

                                OPs rant on the mark.

But the major corporations are "socialist" too, always looking for govt handouts to remedy mistakes their bright boys in the exec office made. Remember the Chrysler bailout? And how the car companies want the govt (ie other people) to handle their pension and health care benefits woes?

American auto makers, back in the early '60s, made an arrogant decision to build defects into their new autos. It had a name: Planned Obsolescence. Meaning that after around
75k miles the car was built to fall apart.

Detroit reasoned then that if they made cars that lasted no one would buy new. And then those little Japanese guys came around with their little bugs, totally lacking that precious Detroit commondity called Styling, but that just went on and on and on . . .

Any person or entity that is a failure will want a bailout. Tax-collecting governments don't like failures because failures reverse the cycle of cash flow, but there is a real difference behind the philosophy of bailing out corporations as opposed to individuals. A large corporate failure means several lost jobs, decreased infrastructure, and significant lost taxation. An individual failure means lost taxation. Of even more importance is that fact that corporations are often able to restructure and become successful again whereas individuals who are failures have a tendency to remain that way.

Most corporations are driven to make profits. If you give them a bailout then perhaps you're betting on future success. It's not always the wisest decision but certainly there can be meritorious results from such policy.

Most individuals are driven to be content. If you give them a bailout and they find themselves content then they assume it is the way things should be. This breeds an apathetic working class population and is a great way to undermine the benefits of a capitalist economy. The best way to accomplish this is by laying the greatest taxation burden on the most valuable segments of your population. If you do that long enough, you will no longer have to worry about corporate bailouts because you'll have much more pressing economic issues on your hands.
