Come on now guys, if the NFL, NBA was fixed, it would come out, someway, somehow.

It's not, so let's get over that stupid assumption.

There have been incidences of game fixing in college and pro sports that have been exposed. It has happened and will continue to happen. Not a hard leap to make if you have an understanding of human nature.

If anything was exposed in the NFL, shit would go down.

There's no way they are fixed.

yes games are occassionally affected by outside factors but that happens rarely

on this forum it seems that for every lost bet there is a fixed game

It's easier on the ego to say "I was cheated" than to admit "I was wrong" or accept that "There's randomness in the game."

All sports have some level of fixing either intentional or unintentional. The level of fixity is inversly proportional to the market cap of each sport.

This entire thread feels very scripted.

Unintentional: Scoring a TD with seconds left when up by 30 points just to cover the spread or shooting a 3 point to cover the spread when up by 15 points in basketball.

maybe, but i dont think that a 3rd string college guard is jacking a 3 with 10 seconds left to cover a spread, i think he jacking that 3 cuz he a college kid and wants to score a bucket and only gets to play 2 minutes a game.

and Im sure he's hoping that the drunk chick at the party will know enough to know that a 3 pointer with 10 seconds left is good, but not enough to remeber it was a garbage bucket.

You have no idea how much power boosters have in college sports. If a booster makes a donation to the program the coach is accepting it with the mutual understanding the team will cover or not cover the spread on specific games as instructed by the boosters.

Is why the ole ball coach is still in demand.
