No one should buy points without knowing what the points are worth. There are very few instances where a half point can be bought for 10 cents and be profitable.

If you want to know what a half point is worth, go to Pinnacle (If they still have drop down menus) and look at what they are selling the 1/2 point for and then subtract half a cent or a cent and you know the value.

It isn't random crackhead. The formula I use picks lots of teams that end up covering or not covering by a very small margin. I have a known win %, buying points increases that win % by a known amount. Easy to calculate what it is worth.

Many games are tossups, you can't predict that.

Sometimes I buy a half point in football to go from 3.5 to 3,or 7.5 to 7. I even sell half points when I feel that the play is strong and the number I get has too much vig attached. A very useful tool is the half point calculator that I think was posted in this thread. It pretty much makes the decision for you, and can help save bankrole if used properly.

I read once that the points in CBB that would equal a one or two possession margin are key numbers, i.e. 2,3,4,5,6.

Curious's system is so refined that rather than pick winners, he is actually able to pick which games will land near the spread.

Given this expertise, it would seem line shopping and middling would be a hell of a lot more valuable than buying points, but I am a crackhead, so what do I know...

Oh yeah, I know not to get $thousands stuck at Royal or Betus or Sportsbook or whereever this genius lost his $thousands...

Ganch, do you have 1/2 point values for halves or quarters?

              Thanks,

              Sean
