I have friends do this to me all the time, they think that because i gamble
so much they can have me place a bet and i turn into their credit shop,
and when they do pay it's always less the juice....WTF

Ya i know my friends have me add on to my bet some times cause thet want some action, then if it loses i tell them they have to pay the juice and they look at me like im nuts..i dont bother placing bets for them anymore..another thing when they win they want to be paid the next day but when they dont win they r no where to be found

I disagree, he said "$200" so i would have put 200 on the game not 220. I'm in the same boat, but usually it's 25 bucks, maybe 100 at the most. Most no-gamblers don't understand Vig, so I usually explain to them IF they win why they aren't getting 1 for 1.

Or i would have clarified "you want to bet 200 or win 200?" With all that said if you put 220 for him and he lost then he owes you 220.

Might mean you just lost a friend.
He covered it.
He is therefore the holder of the note.
The result is really not at issue.
The 20 dollar difference is if he has no clue of juice or does.
Not an excuse for him but ..... you probably know if the guy is onboard with that or not.
Fairly cut and dried transaction.

Put 200 on it. pay him 180 if it wins.

Then when he asks why he didn't get back 200, just tell him "when I place a bet, it's 200 to win 180" He should be happy that you did it for him in the first place, he just made himself 180 bucks. If he doesn't like this, then tell him find someone else to place bets with, you aren't a sucker (or you are if you're spotting him that 20 if it lost and you wagered 220 for him)

If it loses then it is a non-issue and he owes you 200, no bitching or complaining.

Well This "Friend" said what he meant was...........

That by saying he would "cover" it .............he meant that he would LEND me $200 if the best lost.

I said "WTF would I need you to lend me anything........I never even asked for you to lend me shit"

If I wanted to go on the halftime line I would have just put it in myself............

To me my friend is crazy............

The $220 isnt an issue really..........Its just his EXCUSE is so absurd I cant believe it

and the guy has been betting for 30 years..............

no juice between someone covering your bet in a bar for example. you say i like something at halftime and if someone pipes up that they will cover it. it means 200-200 juice is a third party thing.
