Definetely, the WORST loss of my long career!
Yep, this one hurt like Helllll!

I had everything working my way! Probably, headed for a major hit, maybe a record payoff?

However, those heartless "Gambling Gods" had other plans!

This is the worst, by far, most disappointing loss ever!
This shows the good gamblers, the bad gamblers and the young gamblers, just how tough this sports wagering business is.

Here is some of what I had going[not all!].... Dallas straight...Dallas and over first half,....4 and 5 teamer riding on , either Dallas, or, Dallas and over,.....if Dallas and over is good at halftime, my plan was to hedge it all a two teamer of NY and over second half.
Well, the miracle happens! I lose my QB and Dallas find's some way to fall apart in the second quarter.

So halftime, I decided to go ahead with the NY and over bet anyway, figuring, like every other swinging dk, the Cowboy's were dead in the water.

I did not watch the second half! I went to bed, zonked out of my mind, still thinking I have an excellent chance of making some good profit, anyway.
I saw the headline, showing where Cowboys lost, not only the game, but, also, their QB.

Now, thinking, surely NY out played Dallas by at least 1 touchdown the second half?

Nooo, I read the recap, Dallas scores with 40 seconds to go in the game, killing me me mentally and financially!
How did Dallas score 15 points in the second half? The 2 point conversion cost me dearly. That was a bank breaker.

These type of losses can ruin a gamblers whole season. It can stun him mentally, just sap the confidence from his gambling soul!

Now, I need some consolers on SBR, not those asho's that seem to want to slap you around with insults.

So, no asho's allowed to comment! That might eliminate many, many members?
Cry with me, and help me recover.....please?

I would say very bad deal on Romo going out but sucker for betting Giants in 2nd. half. I mean that had sucker bet written all over it. Yes, I saw the game and NYG should've covered 2nd.

Furthermore, I have a hard time believing Dallas wins that game with Romo. I mean he's one of the worse QB's in pro football. I've never liked him and for the life of me I don't understand why he's hyped by the media. He's never won anything except for one playoff game last year vs. Eagles. He should wear #4 because he's a young version of the current Bret Favre. He stinks and I would be shocked if he ever gets his job back as the starting QB of the Dallas Cowboys.

one game should never, ever make or break a sports bettor. In fact, one week should never do so either... but, good luck recovering.

Emily is right MM is the key. Pure greed humbles me every time. Instead of selling off when Dallas was up 20-7 I bought more more more.....

Can't predict starting QB going out or could we? NYG have taken out how many this year already? 4...5..? And Kitna was an old rusty cage needed a good quarter to get going, and by this time game was over.

As Emily stated MM will see you through in the end. Probably why 95%+ lose long-term.

I'm gonna go on the other side here....The Giants clearly had the -3.5 play going into the 2nd Half. Kitna wasn;t going to do much and we know the running game has been nonexistent for the 'Boys. Those late scores after it was what...38-20 or whatever it was...was insane.
Sorry for the hit man...just take a few days off and hit it strong this weekend..some nice games to find value with.

Right, I am not a Romo fan either, but with Dallas ahead 20/7, and looking good, I thought, all that I just need them to do was hang on to a two point lead by halftime.
In approx. 9 minutes, NY scores 17 unanswered points!

Then, thennn, most likely, without that barrage and Romo getting hurt, I win the second half with NY and over? No doubt they would be the underdogs in the second half?

It does make you wonder about that killer 2 point conversion in the second half? That was a Bookies delight. l

It's repeated over and over again, and everyone says the same thing, but I'm not sure how many people follow good money management. I never did, but now I'm usually under-betting. Been around 1-1.33% of my bankroll. Nothing wrong with that, but I should be risking more.

If you're betting for fun and expecting to lose, by all means continue betting the way you probably are. If not, good money management is your friend. You'll be a lot happier with your betting life when you start managing risk. These horrible losses will turn into small nuisances...something you can laugh at.

Maybe why 95% of otherwise good bettors lose, but most bettors will lose anyway.

Of course Giants were the only logical side to beat in 2nd half and the books clearly knew that. However, you had to think it was a sucker bet simply because no one or shall I say very few were going to bet Dallas in the 2nd. Half after what they saw once Romo went down. They probably lose that game with Romo. He's an awful QB and few people seem to recognize that. He's always good for a late game interception, fumble or bad pass. I really will be surprised if he's ever a starter again in the NFL. I think too many teams know he's junk and Jerry Jones probably does too. Now is the perfect excuse for him to go out and find a new QB. Seriosly, what other team would install Tony Romo as their starting QB and think they have a better chance to win than with the guy they currently have. Remember, Romo stinks so he's in the bottom 1/3 of QB's in the league.

Looking for an asholess category to post on? Help!

There's good news and there's bad news!
The good news is, that I actually didn't lose that much money, but the bad, I missed a super opportunity to really rack those Books up.

Now, on to other note worthy news:

Hmmm, I've been to players talk, and believe it or not, they have a higher percentage of ashos there?
So, out of desperation, I came into this different category, I thought, was named "Betting, Sportbooks and General?"

And, I asked politely for the regular ashos on this "different" category NOT to throw insults over and over.
But, lo and behold, they are showing up here also! And, in regularity.

I have to believe these regular ashos are categorized under that well know topic called, "losers!"

Now, if the ashos here, want to push for moving this thread, have at it? It would be solid revenge on the ashos part, caus' that "Players Talk," is simply loaded with ashos, soundly discriminating, and a clique so thick, a silver bullet couldn't penetrate it.

Now, under this category [?], I have decided to give my permission for all ashos to commence firing away.
Butt, I , please don't send me back to that PT, I'll even try much harder to be kind to ashos on this, whatever category I'm under?

Now, if the asho's want to get me really fired up, though, #1, just start posting up inaccurate statements I supposedly have said, #2, hit me with non-fruitful asho talk [ there're good at that], or, #3, accuse me of lying!

I feel ya...My two bigs on Saturday were Northwestern and Baylor...Those hurt so much that I did not even worry about my nice Miami Ml bets and the +juice that was pumping up so many parlays that eventually lost cause of that call/game...At least I had my teasers, right? Lotta hits in the morning waiting for denver to just win to complete them. That did not happen. Pushed a lotta chips in the table on Dallas...They won't lose. They will if their Q gets not knocked out.

Lotta hits in the morning waiting for denver to just win to complete them. That did not happen. Pushed a lotta chips in the table on Dallas...They won't lose. They will if their Q gets not knocked out.
Jonah, I went down with you on NW! Mich. St. scored 21 points in the last qtr, and the last one , I believe, with less than a minute to go? Looked like a lock, just like Dallas for the first-half line! [D-1 1/2]

I, also, went down last night with that [ fixed?] TD in the last minute by La. Tech.
I have lost a record amount of games in the final minute since last Sat.!
When you those heart breakers, you better have some winners somewhere else to ease the pain.
And, another sober...if that Minnesota TD counts, I hit big, with parlays on, guess who? The NY Giants.
as a backup parlay for Dallas parlays.

Yes, that injury, Romo, without a doubt, was the killer for Dallas. Yet, they hang in there in the 2nd half, and nail me, in the last minute, right?

Northwestern +7 losing by 8 when they led the whole game and Mich St scoring a td when they could have just ran out the clock was worse.
