As a gambler, I am impartial and have no bias when handicapping games.
But at the times I am not handicapping, it is hard not to be happy on the inside regarding the events of the past week, with the Cowboys and Yankees both watching their seasons end.
good for you
keep it to yourself no one cares

Oh I am sure 90% of the forum feels the same way, You just can't let the natural dislike of those teams effect your handicapping.

I'm glad the Rangers kicked their ass. Most everybody I talked to is sick of them.

No, teams like the Twins that build from within and still win 90 games every year "do everything the right way".
The Yankees just have more money than anyone else so if they have a hole, they just plug it up by buying another superstar. That is the total opposite of doing it the right way. Plus, their arrogance makes the Yankees easy to hate too.

Look at the Twins roster though. Most of team came up through Minnesota system. The Twins spend their money by locking up their young talent long term.
The Yankees spend their money by just getting any superstar they want.

Not all of them obviously, but look at their current roster. Outside of Thome, who is just a role players these days anyway, it is all home grown talent.

Come on you can't be that naive, everything they do spews arrogance.
It is not just on the field either, like when the Steinbrenners ignored MLBs rules about not being allowed to televise Saturday afternoon games when there are games on network TV, and George's reaction was like "We're the YANKEES, we can do whatever we want."
And naturally, MLB caved in an changed the TV rules.

How about spending it to develop a farm system. Cano is the first Yankee farmhand worth anything since the Jeter/Rivera/Pettitte era 15 years ago.

Gardner, cervelli, Aceves was hurt this year big part of the team last year, phil hughes, chamberlin
now the Yankees farm system is not what it was 15 years ago..that team won 4 series in 5 years.
I do not see what your point is what do you want them to do with the money pocket it??
They did not get Clift Lee this year to preserve the farm system
They did not get Santana 3 years ago to preserve the farm system

You ought to know that back in the locker room Romo even though in pain, was jumping for joy and fist pumping sayin " yeaaaaaaaaah my job is safe ! " You know he had to have been happy for if he was to have been able to play all season, and continue to go on a downwards spiral of loosing, his job was on the line.
