    How do you reset?
How do you handle a bad streak,week,beat,ect...?
Sometimes it seems like all you pick is losers.
I tried to clear my head by:
    watching a good movie
    a hot bath(lol)
    getting laid...ect

I was doing ok with my own theory. I always roll with the favorites. But since i started to listen to other people it's been down hill. I play nba and nfl only. Any advice or help would be nice.

at some point and time you should have made rules for betting ex..pitcher -vs- pitcher in mlb, what are specs criteria, when do you play a under or over in basketball, ect, ect
even if those rules are followed their still can be cold streaks.

take a break 1-2 days hell mabye a week, and re-evaluate drop unit size down when you start backup for a specific time till you hit that winning pctg

this week i am goint to make some threads on exactly how i cap MLB games ,what qualifications must be met, when i play totals in basesball ect ect

Just change it around bro,If your betting allot of straight bets try a parlay,if your betting allot whose gonna win bets, betsome over/unders for a while.Just tommorow when you look at the lines take a deep breath, and remember that this is suppose to be for fun.Make the bets, and don't give it another thought.Dont watch the game, dont check the score, wait till you know that all your games have been over for about 2 hours(if you can stand it wait till the next day) then check your scores.I know it sounds dumb, but it has worked for me several times when I have been on a losing streak.Thats just an example, try whatever you want too,and remember people can tell you it's stupid, but if it works for you it must be smart.

I don't think time off heals anything other than heartbreak over big losses, and as we all know, you shouldn't be in a position to lose sleep over a bet. That's sort of like saying you shouldn't eat ice cream after 10pm, we all do things we aren't supposed to, sports bettors are notorious for pushing the envelope.

I think you have to evaluate your handicapping, make sure your fundamentals are solid, make sure you're maximizing things that are within your control such as...
        • getting the best line
        • staying disciplined money wise
        • not chasing losses

Don't stress over results, just improve upon your base. And as for your comment on rolling strictly with favorites, you may want to reevaluate that going forward.

if getting laid and a hot bath are the results of being unsuccessful at gambling, perhaps your sub-conscious has taken over your picks!! the way i reset is that i keep track of my winnings on a monthly basis, and my experience is that i will have a couple of bad months a year. but the end of each month signals a new beginning and i take a fresh attitude towards the new month. this is meant to be enjoyable, so don't beat yourself up over it.
