Opening Restaurant/Bar - Need Advice/Input

Need some input from the community here folks.

My girls family is opening up a new restaurant/bar and I'm going to be the manager.

The place that was bought needs a TON of work. My question is, what would be the best thing to do to market or advertise this place. It was a restaurant before and it was there for YEARS so people know about it and miss the place, but it needs a whole new look. Anybody here own a restaurant/bar? I also have to setup a new website and all that shit, so what's the best place to design a website for this type of stuff?

Any input would be appreciated and if I use any of your ideas you get a free meal on me if you come by when you are in Chicago

Call that English dude...Gordon Ramsay.....he'll call you all kinds of F-bombs...but the menu will click Definitely a tough market to be opening a restaurant, so you better have a "nitch" because the old standard crap won't cut it.

Very little, but really none of us do to be honest. It's a new venture for the family, the father ran a few places back in the day but that was years ago.

The place is OLD. It just needs to be modernized. The place before was there for 30+ years and did great, the owners just got old and didn't want to do it anymore. We brought in a consultant today and he said as long as we market and advertise it right, he thinks we have a winner. The food is going to be great so I'm not worried about that. I just want to make sure we bring the old customers back as well as new ones!
