The fact is pass defenses in college are far worse than run defenses, unless you've got an incredibly NFL oversized RB like a Darren McFadden or some lightning fast Michael Vick QB there is never a cause to run the ball more than 1/3 of the plays (and only then to set up the pass). I cant tell you how consistently teams have been not only finding wide open receivers for easy passes on 3rd and double digits when its 1000% obvious you're going to have to throw it down field or punt the ball but hell those teams are launching it on 1st down as well and always finding receivers so unbelievably wide open that its retarded to run. The phrase "had him beat" is just automatic with college pass defenses this year.

Watch the USF game last night, fuk I mean that shitbox QB sucks but when you have man on man coverage with a shit college corner everytime (basically 50% chance of a completion or defensive penalty) you might as well just launch it to the receiver everytime and run up the score why run it up the middle for 2 yrds when u can throw screens, across the middle, or just launch it for huge yards everytime

Easiest way to lose is to have a team that runs it too much in college, I bet if you threw nothing but passes you would guarantee a receiver wide open for at least a guaranteed 10 yrds on at least one of the plays against 99% of college pass defenses.

Just watch college ball lately, fuk if its 3rd and 15 its just guaranteed not only will they not blitz but that somehoe a receiver will be standing in the middle of the field wide open for pitch and catch.

Is it just a scoring bonanza type of year with no pass defenses or is this the state of college ball, defend the run like its 1920s football and just forget that passing even exists.

Syracuse run up the middle for 1, run up the middle for 2, 3rd and 7 for 20 yrd pass wide open, 1st down pass for 40 wide open, run up the middle for no gain, run to the side for 3 yrds, pass for 40 wide open

Tell that to Navy. Over 80% of their plays this season have been runs.

It's been like that for years. College Football is all about the scheme. Weather it's a passing attack or the Huskers of Tom Osborne running the 2 back option at you. In the NFL the scheme is less important as only the best athletes make it there. This is why Oregons flashy offense or Air Forces double wing will never work in the NFL.

LOL I know, Navy is fukin pathetic, if you want to edge out Wake Forrest (should be Div 1AA) level teams you can run the triple option all day long, Navy is a joke to any ranked team

Also forget what Lou "fukin swallow that *** before you talk bitch" Holtz says every year preseason about ND winning the national championship before they lose 2/3 of their games every year, if Navy pulls off the upset, NOTRE DAME FUKIN SUCKS
