Unsuccessful people just don't like seeing other people be successful. The guy was in the dumpster for years and used the Lord to change his life around. Self fulfilling prophecy or not, there is nothing wrong with that. Trust me, I'm not spiritual, but I don't see how you can't be happy for the guy. No one says anything when the football players do this after every god damn interview after a win.

Hypocrite isn't an accurate term to describe him.

He overused substances.
He stopped.
He gives thanks to God for helping him build his inner strength to fight his cravings.
He is also grateful to be allowed to be a professional athlete, doing what he loves, and making big dough. Most people don't get to do that. He is very appreciative.

Doesn't sound like a hypocrite to me, unless he is doing lines in the lockerroom bathroom.

I think it's great that Hamilton reclaimed his life.

He made many bad choices but managed to turn things around and is on top of MLB.

Forget about being a top athlete, how many serious drug addicts never get it turned around, period?
