I was doing a little channel surfing tonight, and noticed their was a wrestling Ppv event tonight. Well, I was watching part of this match just now, and they had like a 80 year old man wrestling.

My question is rather simple really...Who in their right mind would pay anything to watch something is that screwed up.

Help me out here bro. You say its a payperview and who would buy it and then you say you were channel surfing and it is somehow on your TV.

Old schooler wrestling fans I'm sure remember the territories instead of this crap they have these days.

i have never got the whole wrestling thing. even when i was a little kid and friends would watch it, i couldn't get into it. I had friends that used to go to The Gardensand watch it. i do remember when the PPV was big here in town, in the mid to late 90's sports bars started carrying them. i worked at UPS part-time in the 90's and i used to see people wear those Austin 3:16 shirts, and i never knew WTF they were about, cause it didn't have a picture of a wrestler on them. one sunday me and some friends from UPS were at a bar watching football, we got up there at 1:00 as soon as they opened, around 6:00 i started noticing people wearing those shirts and more older people with kids coming in, i made a comment and a friend of a friend said they were having a PPv there that night and he gave me the story behind the shirts. well i was pretty lit by then and we stuck around for it, i ended up making an ass of myself hootin' and hollerin' and making fun of it, i about started a fight with this group of big fat grown men that were all wearing those Austin 3:16 shirts, they took the shit a little to seriously, i kept cheering loudly for the other dude, it was some pretty boy lookin dude with long hair, apparently he was the ex champ and a nemesis of that Stone Cold guy everyone in the bar was cheering for. i also seem to remember Pete Rose being part of the show. man that was a crazy night. last one i ever watched, actually one of the few i ever saw.

Was really into it back when it was the WWF and Macho Man was the Intercontinental champ, the British Bulldogs were the tag team champs and Hogan was a good guy/world champ. The key bad guys were King Kong Bundy and Andre. Used to love Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. Guy was in great shape. Those were fun times. Wrestling sucks these days. Yuck!
