If soccer is a game of skill?
If it is then how come virtually every shot towards goal looks like a desperation prayer into a pile of defenders that will only luck into the right position 1 out of a 100 times by accident and once it does the game is over?

This is more when two even teams are playing but even when a "great" team like Brazil plays a trash hopeless team like USA in 94' the final is 1-0, I mean that's after a fukin hour and a half of kickin balls at the goal

It is definitely a game of skill, but strategy comes in too. It's hard to get chances to cross it or get open in front of the goal

Yea exactly, solid proof its all skill, I've seen that goal before on youtube, Im sure he could do that consistently , btw was that goalkeeper immediately dragged off the field and shot, that's the only possible solution for allowing a goal where you essentially just have to defend the far post, I mean essentially you could put a mannequin there and block that goal, somehow this idiot steps forward opening a path to score....granted it was a pretty good kick as well so the keeper was unlucky as fuk his complete idiocy got revealed but still

Kicking a ball requires no skill. Have you seen the dudes who try to win the 1 million dollar Pepsi challenge at the Bowl games? They can't lift the fukking ball off the ground and the ball is stationary. Imagine how easy is to score a goal in soccer with the ball in motion while you kick it.

That sport is all about the offensive build up. Passing / flick ons are the whole key. All those great finishers most likely got a great feed from a teammate.
