I am a Cardinal fan 1st and National League fan 2nd. I have to root for either the Giants or Phillies. I am hoping the Giants because I will go to a game.

As a person living in Arlington, TX, I have to say the feeling is amazing, almost unreal. People are going nuts over here and the Rangers really deserve it and win or lose im just happy that the world f*ckin series is coming to Arlington! Go Rangers!

good effort by the rangers, but I always found the name WORLD SERIES a bit ironic..I love baseball, dont get me wrong, but I believe there is really a limited nr of nations knowing who reached the final, except the US public.

I was telling my wife this tonight. For instance, with the World Cup in soccer, it's an international championship, with teams from all countries. The World Series of baseball should be called the National Series, since it's pretty much just the states (with the exception of one team from canada). So, 2 countries does not equate to 'the world'.

The MLB teams get and pay for the best players in the world, Japan, Dominican, Venezuela, even Canada!, etc etc. MLB is a showcase of the best baseball talent in the world, so I find no problem calling it the World Series.

I Live in San Fran and think the Giants are gonna manage to lose the Series to Philly back at Philly. But if the Giants do end up winning one of the 2 games needed to move onto the World Series Ill happily take the Giants over the Rangers.
