How many people at sbr make a living stricly off of capping?
over/under 9.5
I say under, I'm talking no jobs, just betting sports.

I'm talking no career, property and investments don't count, but no 9-5 job, no business. Primary source of income for paying the bills made off of wagering.

Capping is for mostly for losers, that's not how you win at sports

brooks I don't think its 0 but probably not much more. I'm wondering how many there are overall in general. you hear of proffesional poker players and gamblers but how often do you hear of a professional sports bettor outside of this forum? how many are there really, is it really possible to make a living off it for a lifetime?

Isn't that what everyone here does?
[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.

By this answer, I know you don't win...at least not much.
As far as a lifetime....with all the changes online and such...hard to predict the future...

do you really beliee everyone here makes a living gambling? even if someone is a winning player which most are not that doesnt mean they don't have jobs, a very small percentage of people here do this for a living, IMO

That's interesting that you think that. I'm only 24 and I have a long way to go to decide that but I actually win quite a bit, not enough to quit working but thats because I have two kids and not anywhere near a big enough bankroll. I'm trying to learn bankroll management right now. my win frequency is high but Ill win five straight games betting 50 a game but then I'll go all in on a play for 300-400 and lose it all. I'll get there!

Always good to have a job to fall back on when a cold streak hits (which will).
Ive done extremly well in sportsbetting for the last 11 years but I will never quit my job for it.

I'll take the over on that since I know of a few right away.
There are quite a few more semi-pro's than pure pro's around here even amongst the sharpies. Guys that are longterm winners and supplement their income by their gambling winnings are semi-professionals in my book. Pure pro's are those with absolutely no other source of income, not as many of those around here as most believe despite what you might hear. Another thing, living in your Mom's basement and making due with a nickel a month in winnings is not being a professional.
Are you a pro? No other source of income other than your gambling winnings? And you do it by strictly capping games? Not saying no one here can do it, just doubt there are as many 60% cappers around as we hear about. If you are one of them how much do you make a year if you don't mind me asking? Thanks.
BTW I used that example because a friend of mine is always talking about being a professional gambler, especially around other people. His wife is a lawyer and he keeps house. Probably makes money overall but not near enough to live on his own. It's an ego thing, he insists since his only income is from gambling that makes him a true pro no matter how little he actually earns, LOL.

I tend to think the guys that do it for real only bet like 3-4 games a week for 4-5 figures, as opposed to the 100 a game guys who bet every game on the board. im the 50 -100 a game betting 6-7 games a day just trying to go up a few units but I respect the guys that find the angles and lay real cake on a game.
I was trying to out anyone or blow up there spot, just want to know if making a living off it is possible and the ones who do how do they bet, lots of games small units or few games big units?
