    Any Sportsbook Gone Yet?
I heard before the Superbowl, that a few sportsbooks
had there bags packed and were ready to leave
just in case the Steelers won.
Well the Steelers WON!!! Any gone yet? If not gone
    yet,soon will be?

I don't think so. I actually think the books were welcoming Steeler action. The lines certainly made it look that way. The line settled almost exactly where it started 2 weeks ago. Well done, linemakers!

The betting was even enough that no book took a bath on either side winning. But, say if 80% of the money went on Pittsburgh, then we'd be hearing about the sky falling right now. I think the final tally was around 50% on both sides. The books just take the juice, which is zero risk for them. WTG linesmakers.

I think the real issue is how many players who have been winning throughout the season, were waiting until after the superbowl to withdraw thier money. WHile most books have lost this season, they haven't had to pay out all thier losses yet.

I guess we will see in the next few days if anyone goes under.

I can tell you that it is almost impossible to withdraw from the VO Group today. The CS clerks keep telling me the accounting dept is too busy to take my payout request.

              Ugh.

Agree with Marc- Some books took a beating throughout the year and waited to collect all the Super Bowl funds that they could get. Now it's slow until March Madness and some books with tank.
