Maybe we should have a forum called NCAA Basketball Handicapping
A place where if people want to post a thread about a particular college basketball game, they could.

A better idea would be for the mods to just move them to where they belong. The offenders would probably get the idea. Instead, they are all still in this forum.

Actually, the mods ARE doing their jobs in terms of "linking" threads to the most appropriate forums. Most likely the reason that you still see some of these threads here in "Players Talk" is that they are "mirrors" of the threads that have been "moved" to the appropriate handicapping forum.
This allows for the original posters and initial responders to still locate their threads while enabling posters in the more relevant forums to find and participate in the same information sharing.

My point exactly. If they all of a sudden lost their thread--they might actually look for it--IN THE RIGHT PLACE!! And thus learn something.

DrunkenL, I see your point.
I'm issuing a challenge for the mods. Make a sub-forum for JJgold non-sport related shenanigans so he can promote himself as he pleases and you will see more people not posting their picks on Players Talk.

I will just stop posting all together. I hate when people whine. A gambling forum shouldn't have all these sub categories. A one stop would be nice. O well.

I'll miss your lengthy, well-thought-out posts justifying your selections dearly....but somehow I will trudge on through life.

None with you in particular, just with any/every attention whore who creates a thread to say they like a bet or a bet is a "lock", gives no logical or statistical basis for their pick and chooses to clutter the Players Talk forum with it while sport-specific subforums have been created specifically for this purpose.
More & more people are doing it every day and it's making this forum much more difficult to wade through to see if there's anything you might actually care about reading.

OK, but what, other than the fact that you are betting Clemson, is another post supposed to glean out of the thread "Clemson this evening - take the points!"?
Note: If you said "Clemson this evening - I like Clemson plus the points because the TarHeels are struggling without Lawson....yadda yadda yadda" I would have no problem with the thread. But without a reason for your pick, I fail to see why anyone should care. However, I also realize I'm in an increasing minority on this board, so go on & enjoy yourself man.

I thought all that was common knowledge. I like to discuss picks with anyone . I don't dissect thread headings. Some of what you said is common knowledge and the fact UNC struggles to cover.
