Anyone ever had acid reflux before
got it bad tonight, refuse to take any purple pill. The natural cure is
apple cider vinegar. Took one tablespoon earlier, about to do another

Last time i had it this bad was 3 years ago and had it for almost a full 2 weeks
and felt like i was having a heart attack. Not as bad this time but its
    come back.

I really feel for people that have it alot. What i get for eating doritos and icecream
while playing poker for hours before bed, etc.

Apple cider vinegar smell and taste like ass

You can soften the vinegar taste with a few drops of Stevia. It's a natural sweetener, so it won't have any negative effect. And make sure you dilute it at least a little bit, straight doesn't always help.

Turns out you get acid reflux not because you have too much acid, but because you don't have enough
and the body produces its own and makes too much giving you acid reflux.
Apple cider vinegar is good acid and helps to regulate it so you don't get reflux again.

The otc or doc pills can work but all they do is take away your reflux and it comes back again because your body
doesn't have enough, and it keeps you on the pills .

Best thing to do with the vinegar is swallow quick

Guys, please be very careful with your Acid Reflux! If not treated properly overtime you can develop a condition called Barrets Esophagus. Barrets Esophagus may then lead to Esophagul Cancer. I have to get a scope every 2years for the rest of my life because of this.

I had it bad a couple of years ago, I mean pull over to the side of the road while I was driving because it hurt so bad. I developed an ulcer and was put on Dexilant. It cured the ulcer and also works on the acid reflux. I haven't had a problem since using it.

If you are going through this and you refuse to take Prilosec, my only question is why? Prilosec changed my life. I take one only when I feel it coming on. Anytime I eat butter or peanut butter it happens. I might take one a week but it is awesome. Forget the vinegar, buy Prilosec.

Gaviscon is the nuts. Or if you're cheap milk to coat esophagus (only temp though) and eat something to absorb the acid.

Dam, I pop about 20 rolaids a day for heartburn. I've tried all the pills but none work as fast or long as rolaids. I'll have to try the apple vinegar.

Does getting heartburn often point to another problem? Is it strictly a diet problem?

Old wifes cure - eat a handful of nuts after eating whatever normally gives you the acid reflux .. my wife suffered bad with it .. woke up a few times choking ... scared her half to death .... she started eating a handful of nuts before she went to bed .. and has not had it since.
