Just read an article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal that ginseng is selling for $40-$60 a pound, which equates to $50,000 to $70,000 an acre. One farmer alone has 80 acres dedicated to growing it. Four to six million dollars on 80 acres. The Asian market is so desparate for the crop that they are lining up fighting for it at the farms as soon as it's packaged.
