    R.I.P. Mr. Cunningham
Tom Bosley, best known for his role as Mr. Cunningham on TV's Happy Days, has died.
    He was 83.
Bosley "died of natural causes or specifically, from a brief battle with lung cancer," his rep tells TMZ.

What a great actor. I even liked his Hefty garbage bag commercials. Hard to believe he was only 47 when Happy Days started in 1974. RIP

me too i couldnt' believe he was only 47.. i checked it 4 months ago and freaked. i thought he was like 56. i was always shocked how he got marion as a wife. she was hot.. but he was a good father.

did you also know that tommy bosley applied for the role of Archie Bunker?? he almost got it too.. him, mickey rooney and caroll o'connor were going for it... and caroll got it. but no way had tommy gotten it would he have aced it like the real archie bunker.

Agreed. Tom Bosley was great as the "traditional" dad in Happy Days. Slow and steady. I could never picture him as an outrageous character like Archie Bunker. Mickey Rooney might have been able to pull it off, though.

            Thanks Mr. C.
You were the "dad's voice of reason" through the 70s.
Tuesday nights at 8:00 if I recall.
As Ron Howard said "We miss you already".

That was three the quick way. Billingsley and Bosley were good actors who left last impressions.

Guy got the axe after a season when Fonzie and the crew gained so much popularity.
