no, but i did think about playing the NY Giants on the ML, to offset my bet on the Pats after i read a tidbit in my local paper on gameday that the Patriots organization had took a patent out on the terms "19-0" and "19-0 The Perfect Season" a week before the Chargers game. My first thought was "Karma is a bitch!"
But of course i didn't put the bet in. Hindsight is 20/20 they say.

Likewise. I also double my bet if I am on the other side of JJgold. It gives me an extra reason to bury the book knowing that they have to pay me from JJgold's deposit.

There are some guys that make me rethink my bets. There are some guys that should make anyone rethink their bets. Sometimes we have to swallow our pride and realize that there are people that are better at this than us.

              Well...maybe not us...but me.

That's why the reasoning is so important. If another poster has reasoning I've already considered, it's fine. But if they have reasoning I wasn't aware of, and it rings true, that's not good.

On the other hand, it's rarely a wise move to pay double juice and take a bet back, unless you like it so much that you want to put additional action on the other side.

Matchbook is probably best if you want to get out of a bet, provided the original bet was made there ( same spread). You can get out of a baseball bet for very little cost, maybe even a profit !

Pags or razz can make me wonder when there on the other side, but I usually stay the course. It makes me damn nervice though.

I know of one that I probably woulg have bought back last NBA season. The Mavs were playing the Heat and it was on my bowling night so I had to make the bet in a hurry, and get to the bowling alley. In my hurry I didn't find out that Shaq, and Wade were both out.I went ahead and bowled, got about half drunk, woke up the next morning, and found out that Jason Williams had went wild. Not only had they covered but they had won.THATS PURE LUCK,and it happens every once in a while.

Nope. Posters have no influence on my bets.
