and why did we get rid of ross????? these playoffs have had me shakin my head in disgust.....

he is only super clutch and makes like $3 million and plays GREAT D yet those 3 reasons are not enough to re-sign the kid or atleast trade him so we get something in return...nah, just release him....i hope its ross and giants vs cantu and the rangers so one of them can get a title, both played their asses off in florida, but we're too fuckin cheap to keep either........

Bigtime Marlins fan here and Cody is very streaky. He's always been a fan favorite and we were sad to see him go. I hope he stays hot throughout the World Series.

They released him because he couldn't hit his way out of a brown paper bag for 2 months before they dumped him. And they weren't going to re-sign him with Logan Morrison and Stanton both producing. Those things coupled with the face that they were completely out of the playoff race and and there was no need to keep paying him.

I'm a big Cody Ross fan but just watch what happens when he goes through one of his really bad streaks next year. They'll be hanging him from the Golden Gate bridge by his sack.
