I remember a guy a few weeks back wanted to bet Purdue to win the NCAA championship this year and told him it's too early because of unexpected injuries. I hope he listened.

This is good news for the Illini.

The big ten champions will be either Illinois or MSU now.

Ohio State? They return everyone important but Turner, and they had arguably the best recruiting class in the nation.

Agreed, Bet Master. I wish I'd grabbed Buckeyes earlier this week for the conference. Will get shorter odds now. Too bad for Purdue, and too bad for all college hoops fans that we're going to miss seing Hummel play.

Guy was an ace, very much changes their team

Illinois is going to be a monster this year regardless

Geez...that's really a shame... I don't even like Purdue, but I feel bad for their loss...and really the loss of the whole NCAA to be without Hummel 2 years in a row. Who knows what Purdue could've accomplished if he hadn't been out last year and was they could've accomplished this year, too... Guess they won't be anywhere near favorites to win the title anymore.

Illinois had, arguably, the best recruiting class in the nation a year ago.
