The Yanks are in their heads now. To blow a 5 run lead in the playoffs takes a lot out of a team. I don't care how the Rangers spin it, that loss will be hard to shake.

A game, scratch that an inning like the 8th last night can absolutely destroy the confidence of a team. To have the game seemingly under control only to have it go horribly wrong like that can do things to the psychy that can have lingering effects. I liked the Rangers chances at the series but now I can't chance it until at least another game is played.

Phil Hughes is only good if you evaluate pitchers based on wins but in reality he is extremely mediocre and not worthy of starting in game 2 of a league championship series. Colby Lewis is the better pitcher, Phil Hughes could rocked with the jetstream in right field
