What A Travisty For Art Monk

I'm not sure anyone has anything against him, BBD. Although Art does have a personality that makes Al Gore seem like David Letterman, I think Art's performance on the field is the reason he hasn't been included.

art monk's numbers deserve to be in there isetcap. those numbers were great in that era.

I never really thought so but I'm definitely willing to listen to your argument. I came to the DC area toward the end of his career and I do admit he was quite beloved here. I just don't see a case where his stats warrant induction, but maybe you can show me something?

heres just a few of his career highlights that would help suport his case i feel:

1980: Named to the NFL All-Rookie Team.

1985: Named to the NFL Pro Bowl, the Pro Football Weekly All-Pro Team, the Associated Press All-Pro Team and the UPI All-NFL Team.

1986: Named to the NFL Pro Bowl and the UPI All-NFC Team

1987: Named to the NFL Pro Bowl.

1992: Sets NFL record for most career receptions at the time (820) on nationally-televised game against the Denver Broncos.

Not to mention those superbowl rings he has.

3 ProBowl seasons with 2 of those seasons being really good years...

I'm going to need a little more than that. Perhaps we should compare his numbers to receivers that are currently in the HOF and also those projected to be in the HOF? I'll look into that and think about it while I am in the gym. Then I'll get back to you.
