Question about iPhone

Ok, I'm thinking of buying an iPhone. I wanted the HTC Evo more, but it doesn't sell in Canada.

Since I don't want to go with a 3 yr contract, and I'm more used to pay-as-you-go, is it possible to get an iPhone just for that? Would I have to get an unlocked iPhone for $500+? And then just get pay-as-you-go cards?

Since I'm mainly getting the phone to go on internet when I'm not home, does pay-as-you-go include Internet minutes/data? or is it just for making calls?

Go to www.modmyi.com. That is the site I used to hack my Iphone. I use AT&T and they do not let you pay-as-you-go.

Some people there that use other carriers might be able to answer you better.
