Dick Vitale made one hell of a stupid statement concerning Knight's qualities.

ESPN interviewed Dick Vitale concerning Knight's retirement and as expected,Vitale had a love fest gushing about how good and great Knight was as a coach and person.

Vitale is such a phoney that props what he likes up and he praised Knight for recruiting student athletes that all got degrees where no other coach did that.Of course he didn't say the degrees were mostly fluff jock degrees in golf course maintenance and bowling alley management.

So what was Knight going to get as far as players,the ghetto convicts that couldn't read that Tarkanian used to lion tame?If Knight would have had Tarkanian's felons as players they would have murdered him the first day of practice.

Knight recruited timid all american homecoming kings that were in awe of him and feared him.His teams looked like the cast of Happy Days minus Fonzy.

I mean what did knight do that was so bad? He got people to play basketball at a higher level and to get a degree and he helped alot of people out including academics at both schools

Knight used his basketball contracts to help fund libraries and education programs... he was also the 1st one to do that.
