I know theres some people here that know how to get money fast. All I own that's worth anything is my 2003 chevy Impala its worth about eight grand but it's not paid off not even close, how do I get a few grand for this thing? Craigs list? Chop Shop?

Tough to say... Anyone that wants to "drive" it would need the Title. The Title is with the financing firm or the bank that holds your loan. So selling it on Craigslist or in the paper will NOT work. The only way would be to sell/lease it to a family member that won't mind that it remains in your name until it's paid off!
Good Luck

The title needs to be released by the loaner. The only way it will work.

Keep making the payments --- you can't get out of an upside down loan these days as easily as you could 5 years ago.

If you lived in San Diego you might get 800.00 for it... Then wait one hour and report it stolen

Maybe you can get someone to rent it from you till it gets repossessed? Not way you get 2 dimes but this has got to worth at least $500 to someone...

Am I the only one who is wondering how a 2003 Chevy Impala could still be worth $8000? I would have thought that a car that old would not have been worth more than $3500

Just simply tell the buyer up front what is going on and you'll need to complete the deal at the car lot (if a "buy here pay here" or have them pay the loan the same day. Just spell it all out in writing ahead.

Give it to the bank and take the credit hit. Only other option. You can't get cash unless its stolen.

You are correct. If I had $8,000 I wouldn't buy an 8 year old car. I'd put that money down on a newer one.

Since when was a Impala ever considered a "luxury car?"

not entirely, I appreciate the legit suggestions too, if theres a legal way to get rid of it and profit at all thats ideal.
