You mentioned the basketball game that a team is up by lots of points and everyone walks in before is over. The game yesterday was only a 3 point game NOT a blowout. The Giants could have fumbled the last play and Pats could attempt a FG.

come on now, who's going to fumble a snap for a kneel down, and the clock would of expired anyway with 1 second, and throw in the fact that it would of been about a 70 yrd. FG.

the original topic of the thread was about how classless Belichick was for leaving the field before the time expired. I made my point that both coaches were going to shake hands because they too thought it was over as did most people, hence all the people on the field. And i gave the basketball example, because coaches also shake hands before the clock expires in games that are pretty much decided.
