Not everybody can get bailed out like Wall Street, BkofAmerica, Citigroup, the United States, etc. If you want Brock to quit being interested in sports then you should expect banks to close up tomorrow, and Wall Street to close down, too. All of those scammers made far worse decisions than Brock and they affected more people than he did. They got bailed out by the taxpayers or else it was all over.

Brock is interested in sports, and he is interested in gambling. Steve Wynn is also interested in gambling. Gambling is not the problem. The losses are the problem. Brock will figure out a way to enjoy his sports and gambling, just like the banks and Wall Street figured out a way to do what they do.

What are you guys talking about? Wall Street and the banks lent out 500K on houses with no money down and then didn't want to suffer the consequences when people didn't pay their mortgages. Who did more damage? Who is more sick? Who is more honorable?

Why are so many encouraging Brock to continue gambling??? As a community, we need to do everything possible to get this guy off the boards, away from the books, and back to his family. Donald Trump would have gone broke in 1990 if the banks didn't bail him out. He overextended himself with borrowed money and almost blew his inheritance because he had personally guaranteed the business loans, something his father told him to never do.

The Donald likes to invest in real estate, but in a fair world he would have been out on the streets. Each person needs to do what they need to do. The rules are different for everybody. If Brock thought he would enjoy his life more by not paying attention to sports and by stopping gambling then he would do so.

They find dinosaur fossils from 350 million years ago....you can't really live past 115 years as a human being. So, Brock needs to find a way to make it work. The only goal is to do what you enjoy doing. Warren Buffett would trade places with him right now. Brock is doing the right thing. He is following his passion while he is young. If he figures out a way to make it work then he will have a lifetime of enjoyment ahead.

If he doesn't figure it out then so what? The challenge is in figuring it out. I believe he would have been better off simply losing the couple hundo.
Now that he is winning, he feels on top of the world, and that he is untouchable, and all debt will be cleared in no time. When the losses start accumulating (which inevitably they do) the chase will be on. If lessons weren't learned, then the bankroll will then be depleted, and there will be an even greater urge to get back in the game, because of the hot streak he garned early.
