beemore, they are union, but only full time jobs are part of the union. this position is seasonal. but i will do it anyway. the HR woman said many seasonal workers get hired full time after the seasonal period ends, if they do well.

Zeta, you are a scalp machine. Why don't you get you ass down to NYC and snag a boiler room trading job. Very similar mindset. The pay is garbage to start but if you show skill/profit you can really haul down some loot.

Firms like this advertise all the time and will train you from the ground up. They advertise on craigslist and monster.

What they do is fvck you on pay while you are "training" but if you are good you can start making money fast. If you understand how arbing lines work you have the intelligence to learn what these sweat shops are teaching. I'm not saying you will like it but it might be worth a look.

Also, DO NOT, under any circumstances, DO NOT agree to join any firm that has complex profit/loss rules or capital contribution requirements. These are scams. If you don't understand how you get paid, walk away.

It's worth taking 8 bucks an hour for a year or two....Good benefits from them....Then the chance to become a driver, they make GOOD money for driving.


I worked there for 2 days, unloading trucks, and realized I didn't care for waking up @ 230 to drive 40 minutes away and make shit money and work pretty much just because the Benefits. They then offered me a summer driving job after 2 days, because the interview lady enjoyed our conversation's. I had to turn that down, because I didn't want to quit my other job, to not 100% guaranteed a full time driving position within the next year. They said while I was unloading trucks that it'd be about 2 years of that until it would be my turn in line to be offered a driving position.

Zeta thats a seasonal gig. Just so you know you will be laid off 100% at end of year. I am a fed ex driver and have been trying to get in there for years. UPS drivers make double what fedex drivers make. Couldnt get offered anything more than seasonal. the ups station by my house hasnt hired a permanent driver in 4 years.
