Hello SBR this is my first post on this forum and i have a interesting situation that i want some experienced opinions on. To make a long story short i sent my guy a text today saying that i wanted to take the chiefs over the colts. As were all aware the chiefs lost but when i called my guy back he said congrats on my colts win and when i told him that i wish i took the colts but to be honest with him i played the chiefs he said let me get back to you. Moments later he called me back and said that he misread my text and had the mindset that i took the colts all along and he took the chiefs but after i brought this to his attention that i owed him on the action. Here my problem/question. If he had the mindset all along that he took the chiefs doesn't this misunderstanding mean that we both took the chiefs and we both lost meaning that the bet is dead???????????? I'm not trying to get out of losing and actually planned on paying all along but with this new info brought to my attention by him i feel the action should be declared dead since we both tech took the losing team. Excuse my grammar but i'm tired and just wanted to get a answer asap on this topic. I wanna know what the veterans/experienced guys think. Thx for all answers.
Should this action be dead or alive??

#2When dealing with a local you never talk about what was taken. Its his fault for saying "congrats" & you're inexperience in telling him different. Once he said that you should have just been cordial & made some small talk comment about the days action & asked for a figure.Comment -

#3second of all, I would never take or give action via text messaging. These fukin bookies are gettin too lazy to lazy to fukin steal 2 days a week by answering the phone. Sounds like a piss poor operationComment -

#4What Profit said. It doesn't matter what someone's "mindset" is, the bet placed was the bet placed, if you texted saying you were betting the Chiefs over the Colts then that's the bet, and you lost, so you need to pay up.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. #7Was i wrong in bringing the truth to his attention???? i figured that if i lied and collected on the colts win and he goes back and reads my text that i actually bet on the chiefs then i look like a real piece of garbage so thats why i brought the truth to his attention.Comment -
