ok. My main reason for being a bit skeptical is that someone can on last week and posted that Julio had his knee scoped and would be out. There seems to be a lot of stories about him floating around.

I still can't find any official story. I have seen a copy of a tweet and a mention on a Miss State forum where the opening poster said he would have linked it if he had wanted to so F U.

Since college football is king here this would have been the lead story on the 10:00 news. (It was late cause of football)

But the big question is this. Why all these rumors about Julio Jones? Like I said last week some clown was on here saying Julio had to have his knee scoped and would miss a couple of weeks. This week its ZBoiz. This is getting odd.

It is being reported today that Julio broke his hand in the first quarter of the South Carolina game and his status for this Saturday is questionable. So ZBoiz was not full of crap. He was correct about the hand.

3 to 4 weeks may be a lil off but as everyone should know it will depend on the healing process.

You are forgetting he played a whole season with a broken wrist. He is tough but all these injuries could hurt his draft status.

I doubt it will hurt his draft status. The kid is a physical freak. Remember it's only wrist.. Now if he tore both ACL's than that will defeinantly hurt. But I doubt his draft status will fall.

The battle will be him or AJ Green to be the 1st reciever taken.

nina, I read about it on tidesports.com. It was also on ESPN radio. However Saban said it could be as little as a few days depending on his tolerance to pain. This is a wait and see type thing. Fluker is also out for a bit. We need a bye week desperately

I reported in "Key Injury and News" thread that Jones would be out for three weeks and return for LSU in three weeks. He may play this week as a decoy on a few plays. Alabama is deep at receiver and since they are going to pound the hell out of Ole Miss...it won't matter.

I differ with my friend jwBama about an open date....we need to play and beat the hell out of someone. Take Bama and give the 21 or 21.5 or 27. They will beat Ole Miss who is giving up over 32 points a game like a drum.

I hear you....but how is Ole Miss going to score?

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The man barely missed any practice time after surgery to repair a fractured left hand.

Most people would burn a sick day to let the wound heal where stitches hid the plate and screws now somewhere inside his body.

Maybe the doctor inserted some super-charged batteries, too.

No matter what happens to Julio Jones, Alabama's star-studded receiver just keeps going and going and going.

And on a night when Alabama's offense was gasping for breath in the first half, the Crimson Tide receiver -- and former Foley star -- resuscitated the offense for a second-half boost in a 41-10 win at Tennessee.

To some, what Jones has done this season might seem just short of superhuman.
"Everybody hurts, it's football," Jones said. "You just have to be a man. If everybody says you're the man then you have to step up and be a man and go out there and play."

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound junior finished with a career night, and along the way towed Alabama's offense into an explosive second half to help avoid another tight finish such as last year's 12-10 win in Tuscaloosa.

Jones set a school record with 221 receiving yards on 12 catches and, believe it or not, no touchdowns. It was the first 200-yard game of Jones' career.

"Anytime you're winning like that you have to give him the ball," Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy said. "The same would be for (any of my receivers). Julio was definitely on fire. That would be a bit of an understatement."

By halftime, Jones already had caught eight passes for 107 yards. His engine was just beginning to rev up. He opened the third quarter with an explosive 38-yard reception from McElroy to put Alabama on Tennessee's 32. McElroy hit Jones two plays later for one of those big-top catches leaping and landing just shy of the end zone. Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram would punch it in on the next play for a 20-10 lead.

"I've seen him do spectacular things," Alabama defensive back Robert Lester said. "Getting 200 yards is a no-brainer. He did it all the time, and now he's done it in college. He works through anything. That's the type of guy he is."

In the fourth quarter, Tide freshman A.J. McCarron hit Jones for a 47-yard pass to setup the final touchdown of the night. To some, those were boos coming for the fans coming from Neyland Stadium.

                                                                      Not to Jones.

"They weren't booing me," Jones said. "They just called me, 'Whooooo.' It just sounds like (boo)."
